Winter has arrived!

Well winter snow & cold arrived the other day but I must admit that I'm one of those people who could live without both of them. Although the sunny South is what I like, a lot of our family lives out west where it's been even colder & snowier(is that a word?) than here. You'll never guess where we're heading for Christmas. Yup, it's out west. What else can you do when Christmas is about families being together? We're just lucky that we have family to visit with & can afford to do it.

A New Day

Well the weather has been great for the past week & it didn't even interfere with the Santa Claus Parade yesterday which is pretty amazing.

I got my H1N1 shot on Friday and felt crappy the next day and the injection site on my arm still
hurts a bit. I don't think that's too much to suffer through in order not to get REALLY sick.

Beautiful day

Yes it really is a gorgeous fall day. The sun is out & it's warm enough to go outside without a coat. I found that I'd lost my driver's license a couple of weeks ago but have been putting off getting a replacement because it used to be such a hassle. I found out much to my delight that it's really easy now! I had to open the front door this morning & the screen door was just covered in ladybugs. They are all over the place. Actually I'm staring at one that got into the house...but not for long. Good grief there's another one!

Elements Frustrations

Today is a pretty nice fall day & I'm inside fighting with Adobe (again). Maybe I'm dumb, but don't you think that if you want to print out a contact sheet from Elements that they'd print them in date & time order not in some random order known only to them? It frustrates me every time I go to print a contact sheet. If anyone has any ideas about how to correct this I'd love to hear from you.
I'll get off my soapbox now. ;)
I have a widget below which I'm having fun with. It's called "how to cook anything". I tried "leftover turkey" today because I always run out of ideas for this before the turkey runs out & got a number of not bad looking recipes to choose from.

First Post

Well, here I am creating a blog because I noticed that some of the contests that you can enter require you to have a link to your blog. Naturally any scrapbooking addict wants to win free products right?
It's a grey Thanksgiving Day and I'm still recovering from last night's early Thanksgiving dinner. Luckily we we don't have enough turkey left over that we have to eat it all week. There is a whole pumpkin pie though!
The leaves are slowly turning colour but I think it will be a while before I can get any really good pictures especially if it keeps on raining! I tried to photograph the lovely full moon earlier in the week but I couldn't seem to get one without a blue shadow of the moon also. I don't know the reason for this. I could have made a nice scrapbook page from it. Oh well!
